“Satori” - Marco M.
Satori
This morning I was walking through the streets of downtown Alessandria.
A boy held the door waiting for a girl to arrive, I saw them go up, and in my mind, images of their life together overlapped. Voices, two friends joking around. Then a girl walked past me, covered in tattoos, her eyes glued to her phone as if it were her guide. A gust of wind gave me a sense of lightness. The whims of a child wanting ice cream. A Black woman calling someone in a language I don't know. Then nothing more, only the voices, the images, the feelings remained, but no one was around to hear them.
