“Political Notes” - Marco M.

Political Notes

Since I have been indirectly labeled as a supporter of some political camp, I want to clarify a few points. These clarifications are mainly aimed at those approaching Hari-Om for the first time and who know us little.

I teach embodied and experiential philosophy (not based on readings, or at least not only) and I don't have any direct political interests. I see today's democracy as a disease, a sort of dictatorship based on manipulation rather than coercion. This means I don't belong to any democratic political category: right or left. My political ideal, which is absolutely unachievable today, is closer to a Platonic Republic than to a democracy.

I live rooted in spirit, something that is neither born nor dies. My small cultural contribution to this time makes no claim to change things in general today, but perhaps it can share support that helps an individual consciously create the world they want to live in. Essentially, mine is an attempt at an inner revolution with a cosmic detachment from what's happening outside.

My personal friendships are in no way based on whether someone belongs to a political faction or not. I'm interested in 'who you are' and not 'what you think.'

Anyone who enrolls in the school will receive from me a philosophical and spiritual contribution (in my world they are the same thing) that they can do whatever they want with, including symbolically flushing it down the toilet.

Every word I say is always directed at myself, because it's important to remember and stay strong on marble bastions that need to be reinforced daily.
