Yoga in action

Almost twenty years ago, when I took the newly founded school to the very first Milano yoga festival, I did so full of expectations. Until then, my experience of the Yogic world had been tied more to the Australian bubble of Byron Bay than to Italy, which I knew very little about. It was a huge disappointment. I discovered that, beyond empty words of courtesy, Italian yoga schools hated one another and wished each other the worst.

It took me a while, but I distanced myself from the whole circus of Italian Superficiality Yoga, which that trade fair setting still represents so well every year.

Recently, thanks precisely to the absurdity of the pandemic period, a dialogue began with Igor, founder of Yoga Planet and an old friend, aimed at mutual support, if only moral. That dialogue led first to a co-organised event and now to a real collaboration that will start with the new season (23/24) on some courses.

Few people understand the value of trust and the need to be able to let go of parts of ourselves in order to relate and, through relationship, finally transcend ourselves. Our collaboration is Yoga in action: it is the understanding that cooperating is better than competing. I hope it is the beginning of a new attitude that may soon lead to the creation of a network between the two schools, one able to support everyone in Italy who chooses us and wants, through us, to invest professionally in themselves in the world of Yoga.

Many thanks to Igor and Elisa for believing in it and for starting this project together. However it goes, we have already won.
