“The Fracture” - Marco M.
The Fracture
One of the many facets of self-harm is the idolatry of artificial intelligence. It should be a tool that supports humankind, not replaces it. Instead, humans are forgetting their own conscience, increasingly bowing to the rational-scientific religion of the moment and worshipping the new God.
In this way, many humans lacking humanity have already raised a symbolic white flag, relegating themselves to a hypothetical "closet of useless things," piously awaiting some kind of basic income to keep them alive.
They don't know that a consciousness exists which is only human and to which no AI has access. This source, which flows beyond time and space is the fountain of eternal youth, but also the source of creativity, passion, and Love.
The rift widens daily between the herd of desperate people lacking identity and awareness and those who know they are far more than a simple biological machine, making communication between the two sides increasingly difficult.
I sense, in myself and in my friends, a growing sense of alienation when facing such unawareness. For this very reason, cultivating a sense of community that can save us from nihilism is more necessary than ever.
