Giving in to temptations

In the Odyssey, the sorceress Circe warned Ulysses/Odysseus that while crossing a stretch of sea, he would hear the irresistible song of the sirens, but following it would lead him disastrously onto the rocks. So Odysseus had his men tie him to the main mast, ordering them not to untie him even if he begged them to.

Odysseus perfectly represents the myth of someone who wants to explore and acquire knowledge without risking disastrous destruction. Today, this myth warns every human being about the use of and relationship with AI.
We are attracted by the convenience of its zero-effort knowledge, convinced, among other things, by incessant propaganda that non-effort is a good thing rather than an absolute evil. However, we risk ending up disastrously on the rocks because AI, far from being a simple tool, learns from us to the point of replacing us.

This warning represents my current compromise. Like Odysseus, I want to know and I have the images generated for me—images I would otherwise ask others to create—but I avoid everything else. :)
