I am neither bound nor awakened – Avadhuta Gita
It is a period of renewed passion for Black Metal, which is undoubtedly one of the genres most sensitive to the majestic grandeur of nature and the transcendence of the spirit.
Ans, my friend and personal Charon on this journey, introduced me to a group called Kaula, which draws on the tantric tradition and has composed an album titled Avadhuta Gita. The text itself is undoubtedly influenced by tantrism, but more precisely, it is a text that promotes extreme ascetic detachment.
From the verse I am presenting to you, in fact, it is clear that thinking of oneself as something and wanting to become something else is an illusory and ignorant thought. The one who simply understands is. He is not One, because to think of “being One” also implies that there is a Two. Essentially, he does not seek unity because he would be looking for what already is. He does not seek liberation because there is no imprisonment except in his mind. This verse, which might appear cryptic, actually conceals a starting point, which is the very arrival of extreme importance: that we are already everything we need to be, and only through presence can we realize it.
For those who wish to venture into listening to Kaula:
