"Filoponia" - Marco M.

Filoponia

My philosophy is rooted in Filoponia, which means love for effort. The fractured being seeks survival among the shadows of Plato's cave, seduced by the mermaids of comfort, while the one who seeks transcendence is not afraid of the sunlight (truth), accepts challenges for which he is unprepared, loves effort, embraces suffering, and nurtures discipline.

Lost among the shadows, the undead confuses freedom with the absence of commitment, not understanding that without love for commitment he renounces life.

The undivided being, training every day, hopes for and seeks a small death that at the dawn of the new day allows him to awaken more strong, more confident, and more aware. Exertion is the glue for an authentic community, distant from the "communities" of the web. Every drop of sweat shed is a pearl of inestimable value. The body accustomed to effort is Beautiful regardless, the mind that embraces suffering consumes itself in the authenticity of non-mind. Filoponia is transcendence, a genuine contact with the spirit.
