“Amor Fati.” by Marco M.

Amor Fati
Amor Fati is the love of one's own life in all its manifestations, representing that irrational impulse to embrace every experience: from illness and depression to health and ecstasy, from joy to pain, from dramas to moments of exaltation.

Does it therefore mean doing nothing, since whatever happens is fine anyway? Absolutely not.
Just as in Zen, where from the transcendent point of view everything is perfect while in the immanent I tend the flowers and leave the weeds, a life worthy of the name is a constant search for beauty and perfection, but within the space of Amor Fati, that is, a place where the vertical impulse is softened by a compassionate gaze that loves even what is ugly and imperfect. If everything were beauty and perfection, we would basically have nothing to "do", and perhaps without its opposite we would not even know how to perceive beauty.
Of course, Amor Fati must also be directed towards ourselves, that is, loving ourselves with our imperfections and our mistakes, but without becoming complacent and never ceasing, until our last breath, to run breathlessly towards the ideal, armed at times with a reckless will to power.
