The impossibility to communicate with a good chunk of the world can create a feeling of deep alienation, which, I’m sure, has driven more than one good man to madness and frustration.
I have come to the realization that it is impossible to communicate with those who look at reality as if it divided into categories, that is, those who have no clue about reality. This type of sub-human is the same who would think of a general dislike of religion as of lack of ethics.
As if a human being with a minimum of consciousness needed religions or ideologies to have an ethic. To these people, perceiving that you have doubts about a certain ideology automatically means that you belong to an opposite ideology and thus, you are an enemy. To say that you don’t stand for "democracy" makes you a despotic fascist, just like questioning some of the Duce's statements makes you a communist and so on. This mass of ignorant people is not able to detect nuances and its reality consists of mere mental compartmentalization. Every attempt to communicate is just a waste of time and energy and every time it creates new misunderstandings. In order to talk to such individuals you have to pretend to see the world as they see it. The impossibility of communicating with a good slice of the world sometimes can create a feeling of deep alienation, which, I’m sure, has driven more than one good man to madness and frustration. The sense of this post is one: if you feel alienated from the people around you and you feel you cannot communicate, not only you are not alone, it may in fact be that you are one important seed for a new beginning. Don’t give up!
