I am still a misfit but I proudly call myself a non-adaptable (the border is thin but I pretend there is one) but I quit waiting for something or someone who solves my problems.

In my pessimistic period as young misfit, during those dark days when my eyes saw the world crashing on me and my expectations were consistently disregarded, I took refuge in my room. I started to listen to "Good things come to Those Who Wait", followed by "Ocean of doubt", ending with a little illusory light "Take me to your promised land". My hope was still waiting for a princess, dressed in blue, to pick me up and take me in her (my ) Promised Land.

Twenty years have passed around. I am still a misfit but I proudly call myself a non-adaptable (the border is thin but I pretend there is one) but I quit waiting for something or someone who solves my problems. I am now quite sure of the fact that things do not happen to those who wait but, instead, things happen to those who work hard and prepare a fertile ground that can allow good things to manifest and grow. Prepare the soil, do our best and enjoy doing it are the true things we can do. When good things come I am usually busy making something else, as now there's a lot more than I ever could have dreamed of.

PS I still like Jason's songs.
