Like everything else, the digital age can be a great possibility or not, where everyone socializes but nobody does it with real people anymore.

I take inspiration from the post "Yoga and Social" to give my contribution to the subject. I cannot say to be against socials as it is anachronistic. Let’s start by asking why you, that are reading, use them so much. The new digital world has its strengths and weaknesses. Among the firsts, it is more ecological, as there is less waste of paper, transports, and it allows to have information in less time etc. Moreover, it is more democratic as it gives everyone the opportunity to tell his or her own opinion to many more people, which, previously, was unthinkable.

Being a firm anti-democratic, I do not see this last thing as a big evolution since the web is full of everything but the percentage of bad things is high, while previously information was, at least, filtered. As a fan of music, I could add that now we have tons of new and old music available every day but the reality is that we no longer listen to an entire disk, and often not even a whole song. The core of my contribution, however, is another. Like everything else, the digital age can be a great possibility or not, where everyone socializes but nobody does it with real people anymore. We already see machines able to respond via keyboard and video exactly as a human would do. This means that that we will soon be able to "socialize" with machines programmed to imitate the answers of a human being. That’s why, here at Cascina Bellaria, we organize concerts and events so that people can really meet. It is really important that we develop a conscience detached from the past and able to "see" the present and use it as a resource, not being oppressed as it can happen. Anyway, what happens is not the fault of the digital era as the unconscious person will always find the way and opportunity to be suffocated and live in hell, be it digital or not.
